If you plan on buying from AMD, do wait until June the 20th to see how the Bulldozer CPU's perform. In addition, Phenoms might get a price reduction after the FX's (Gaming series Bulldozers) launch.

PS - Your current plan is quite good. The mobo is optimal. The CPU isn't AMD's best gaming solution, though. Modern games VERY rarely use six cores, a lot don't even utilize four. The Phenom II X4 955 BE is the best AMD gaming CPU - you can OC it to 4,1 GHz. But as said - I'd recomend waiting for the FX's - they're supposed to deliver 50% more performace than their Phenom counterparts. That remains to be seen, though.

For much better performance you should be looking into an i5 2500k and a top shelf p67 or z68 M/B. The phenom II's are old tech (45nm).

I partly approve. The current Sandy-Bridge CPU's are really good AND good value as well. But still - you never know what Bulldozer might bring. I'd wait a bit and see.

Yeah after reading about Bulldozer I am going to wait it out see what happens.
