ok. i really cant stand my computer anymore. i have spent enough money on it and have gotten no where. i just dont get it. there has to be a bottle neck somewhere. running things like lost planet 2 benchmark on all high no aa and getting 24fps? lol crysis bench getting 30 fps lol.. its pethetic. people with half the build as mine are getting better results with the same settings..

heres my computer specs.

Motherboard MSI 870a - G54 http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130275

Cpu amd 1090t Over clocked 4.0ghz 1.44 volts .. northbridge 2600mhz

Graphics card saphire 6970 over clocked to 950/1450 1.2 volts

Ram corssair Xm3 1333mhz 9-9-9-24-34 1T

Power supply coolmaster silent pro 850 watts bronze

what is my bottleneck. ive done countless hours of reading and trying to figure out what is wrong. or maybe something i forgot to set somewhere... the computers performance is just really bad.. the hard drives get defragged once a week. there not over full. i have 0 viruses. i take good care of everything.. im so lost. im ready to through it out a window and start over and go intel and nvidea lol.

there has to be something.. my mobo??? my ram? i mean this is supossed to be a top of the line graphics card... and the best amd processor?? they blow lol...

anyone any ideas?

Go into your BIOS and make sure all your memory timings are correct. Also try dropping your CPU back down to stock speed (And see if you can get your Vcore to around 1.33v) and running the benchmarks again. By the way, did you overclock through the BIOS or through AMD Overdrive?

overclocked cpu through the bios.. my memory timings i checked through cpu-z. why would i want to lower my vcore to 1.33? and lower my cpu to stock speeds? its super stable at 4.0ghz. i picked up fps in crysis from the stock 3.2ghz to the 4 ghz..

How did you stress test your overclock, for how long did your stress test the overclock, and what was the max temp at the end of the stress test? Just trying to systematically change certain variables to find the problem, if it isn't the overclock, I would check drivers and settings next, and if its not that its hardware.

i used everest. ive had it set to 4ghz with 20x200 multi and 1.44 volts for a long time. never had any errors. system is water cooled. temps never reach over 50. low 40s wile gaming..

i did a couple bench marks on lost planet. tried stock 3.2ghz 2200mhz nb
4.0ghz 1.44volts 2600mhz nb
4.0ghz with 16x250fsb multi 2500mhz nb

tests came back all 42 fps.. well 42.0 42.2 and 42.3 which is negligible

would my mobo be causing this with the 870 chipset or anything? all my drivers are all up to date.. just doesnt make sence..

yea i keep forgetting its the 5870 replacement. and its a tad better. you figure my performance is ok.. those bench marks were for lost planet 2 not crysis.. i do the crysis bench at 1080p max all settings, 2x aa and get 44 fps average..
