Which CPU features should match with motherboard

Hi people,

I need to know which CPU features should I check with motherboard so the PC works properly?

details:
There are about 7 different Motherboard (made form 2006 to 2010) which I have to upgrade them so that they work as best as it possible, I want to know which CPUs should I get to make them work.
by the way, I can't refer to motherboard's manufacturer web sites (some of them are bankrupted), but I have their User Manuals.

You need to check the socket first to make sure it will physically fit. Then, the max TDP to make sure the CPU can be fed sufficient power. If you want specific advise, post the models here and/or links and we'll help you out.
