Static electricity

Hello,



I just wanna ask if my MB can totally damage or ruin when touching connector pins without antistatic wristband. Because i accidentaly touch the cpu connector pin and the CMOS battery but i dont feel any shock. Im nervous because this is my first time to build a pc.

Is there anyway to minimize the static without that antistatic wristband?

It's not really a problem. I do it all the time.
