im planning to buy this mobo:

http://www.ebuyer.com/269076-asus-m5a78l-usb3-amd-socket-am3-8-channel-hd-audio-atx-motherboard-m5a78l-usb3

With this processor:

http://www.ebuyer.com/287683-amd-fx-4-4100-black-edition-4-core-3-6ghz-socket-am3-8mb-l3-fd4100wmgusbx

I have checked the cpu support and its fine, but im wondering, does the mobo come with a fully updated BIOS, because the BIOS needed to run the processor must be higher than that of other processors. If it does not, how would i go about updating the BIOS of the mobo?

Any tips? Im really hoping that i dont have to set up the system with a different processor to update the BIOS.

According to Asus' website, you need bios 0403 to run a FX-4100. Most motherboards don't have the latest bios because they may have been sitting in a warehouse waiting to be bought. Best bet is to contact ebuyer/asus to see what bios they are shipping out with now.

Asus usually lets you update the motherboard bios by using their software called AI Suite. Or you can do it the other way with a usb drive. Either way, you would need a CPU that is supported by the current bios on the board to be able to update it.
