  1. Hello LBG;
You can look at the video card and see what the MFGR's recommend for the whole system with that video card.
    EVGA GTX 460 website.
The basics for the whole system:
Requirements; Minimum of a 450 Watt power supply.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 24 Amps.)
Two available 6-pin PCI-E power dongles
  2. What options do you have in the area of a 450W-500W PSU?
  3. I would shoot for a 550W PSU, 700W if ever want to SLI. You could go even higher if you want some extra breathing room.
  4. And How about now??
    Case: Thermaltake Element G
Graphics Card: EVGA Nvidia GTS 450
    HDD: Western Digital 1TB 7200RPM
    Processor: AMD Phenom x4 965 @3.4Ghz
    MotherBoard: Gigabyte GA-M68MT-D3
    RAM: Kingston 4GB DDR3 DIMM PC3-8500
    DVD ROM: Samsung SH-S222
Mouse: Genius Navigator 335 Gaming Mouse
    Monitor: Acer X183HV-B - 18.5 1366x768
    Keyboard: Logitech G19

I'd still go for a 500W at least.

  7. IMHO, you're asking the wrong question. An oversize PSU is the cheapest insurance you'll ever buy for your rig. Save money elsewhere.
