Windows hangs at search companion disabling right click

Yesterday I purchased a used processor Intel 3.2 533 2 MB cache replaced by my 2.8 and added 1 GB DDR2 RAM. Now my Windows companion search hangs or lock and it disables right click. There was little issue previously. Please suggest whether it is any issue with the processor or RAM.

Try without that new ram.

Later, I learnt that it was hard disk issue. I changed my songs and media location to my new Seagates 250 GB and issue resolved. Not hanging now.

For correction processor is Intel 3.2 800 2 MB on Intel Foxconn 945g motherboard

when you install a new cpu you should really reinstall windows. so that it sets up the HAL (hardware abstraction layer) properly. if you dont you may have stability issues.
