Hi. i just bought a 6870 power color and installed it on a fresh
win 7 install and used 10.12 stand alone driver .
the card is working fine on msi after burner and run stable with
kombustor stability test . and gaming normally .
in past few days i had 2 separate bsod crashes while i was sleeping
and the blue screens view showed the bug checker pointing at
atikmdag and ntoskrml

could we be looking at a faulty vga card here ?

That's mostly caused by driver problem.
Does Power Color provides link or something to drivers on their site?
Or, you can try running PC with only 1 stick of RAM and do the same for the other RAM, see which one gives you BSOD....

no new drivers on power colors other than the one i have on the card dvd
my ram is tested with memtest and memory diag tools and have no errors
i didnt have that pro before updating to 10.12 so i rolled back to the
dvd driver to see

i want you to look at these dates guys :

i bought the card on 6/12 installed 10.10 driver from dvd and didnt have issues until the 10.12 came out at 13/12 i installed it at late 14/12 and my 1 bsod was on
early on 16/12 lol

and the second one came at 18/12 the date i posted this message .

what i did is i formatted reinstalled windows and installed the driver 10.10 on the dvd
that came with the driver just like i did at 6/12

Yeah, sometimes the latest driver is not the best, the older one can be more stable...
Then stay with 10.10.
