BIOS not recognizing 2nd SDRAM<

Hello,

My HP Pavilion a1340n has two DIMM slots. Max memory is 2G. When I put the 2nd PC2-4200-533 1GB SDRAM in the BIOS does not show it as installed. Each module reads correcly in either slot.

OS is Win XP SP3

Beyond buying a new motherboard is something that I'm missing like a BIOS upgrade? Current is 63-0100-00001-00101111-012706-RS400-RC410-Mg,

Are the two RAMs compatible? Can you list the details for both the rams?
