Hey guys im building a comp for a game called rift and i put a comp together on newegg and its about how i want it except im about 100 bucks above my budget is there anything i could do to get it knocked down a 100 bucks without losin to much performance? O and everything i have together is 946 i need it around 850! Thanks

please post item name as well as the link. fill this out: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261222-31-build-advice one thing I would probably do to lower cost is consider downgrading mobo to one that only supports one GPU, then buy a cheaper PSU and go with the 6850 and overclock it, I will give full advice once you fill out the link

hello, just trying to give a few pointers because i have £2500 build that i still is using (lol) um... yes but just here to say that i read the specification for "rift" and i found thst your graphics card is slightly over the top. try a 512MB graphics card to start with. if this doesnt then try to find a graphics card that is roughly the same as the one you picked but that isnt in the 6800 series. try something in the 3200 series or above... hope this helps you solve your budgeting problem!!

Well then even my 600$ build would suffice. That 6870 may be a bit much. But its fine. The 955 is a solid chip as well. But just safe to say 600$ would be enough to run rift at that res.

Well the Extreme3 would give you the most upgradability.

Ya i kinda wanna keep it so i can get another card later if i need it

Then keep the Extreme3, but get a AMD card, since most AMD boards don't offer SLI. Yeah so get the 6850. In CF they perform better than SLI 460's anyway.
