Issue with Mouse

I just got a computer yesterday.Mouse works fine with everything.Until i try to play a game in steam.It works fine in game.But the menus where my mouse is is not where is clicks?Example if i want to click start i have to click about 3 "s down and to the right.I cant even access all my options.I am playing on a 42" Panasonic hdtv model tc-l42u25.I have tried 3 different mice.Downloaded drivers again.Restarterd and all do the same thing.Help would be greatly appreciated.

How exactly?And resolution would cause that?

For the Logitech M510 and maybe other Logitech mice, you have to take out the batteries, then hold down the left button and press the right button five times. That fixed my mouse. Try it; it re-sets everything.
