I'd really like to hear ur comments!

the purpose of this pc is general use and for numerical simulation.
I bought a 25inch monitor on hp website and the operating system will be debian linux 6.0.

Thanks!

I'm not quite sure what numerical applications you are using but I would check w/ the software vendor to determine whether it performs best with double or triple channel memory configuration. For numerical simulation, I'd want RAM w/ lower latencies.

For a SB build, that would be:
Mushkin CAS 7 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226178

For a 1366 based build, can go CAS 6

For the same $90 you could step up from a 2nd tier PSU to the XFX Black Edition .... same wattage, better unit....the black is a performance / quality equivalent to Corsair's 1st tier HX series.

Consider the Sabertooth (1155 & 1366) boards...they "militarized" components and 5 year warranty may be attractive to you considering the anticipated heavy workloads
