I currently have 4GB (2x2) in my Asus P7P55D, running an Intel i5 750 @ 2.66 GHz (1st gen i5). I am wanting to upgrade to 8gb of ram. I was wondering if the Corsair 2x4gb XMS3 PC3 10666 (DDR3 1333) would be stable (http://tinyurl.com/7hktckb). Also, the QVL states that at 2.66GHz only 1333MHz speed ram is supported in dual channel. Should I go with the lower speed 1333 set, or should I get the 1600? I have overclocked the processor to ~3.2 GHz in the past, but I had to downclock at some point to reinstall windows (some settings got screwed up and just went to default). I have been too lazy to re-OC, but am going to if I get new ram.
Would it be recommended to OC the processor and get the 1600 or just get the 1333 regardless? Also, will this set be supported, if not what recommendations are there for an 8GB dual channel kit?
