Sony vaio memory upgrade only talks at 266 when should be 533

Hello,I have a sony vaio laptop and the ram that came with it was 512mb 200 pin pc2-4200 533mhz and I replaced it with 2- 1 gig sticks and my fsb is capable of running at 533mz but my new ram only runs at 266mhz. Its running a 2:1 ratio when it should 1:1 ratio. How do I correct t this issue?

DDR is double data rate. So 266 x 2 = 533. Your memory is running correctly.

ok, then why are the 2 memory sticks running at 266 each and not 533mhz each stick?
