My keyboard types numbers in Windows Explorer and in Firefox

Hello,
On my Toshiba laptop when I try and type a folder name all that shows up is numbers. I checked and I can't find the num lock key. Help!

What model laptop do you have?

Look for some blue writing by those keys. A lot of the time you have to hold the function key and then press one of those to turn that on and off.
