Avoid Bios Password

I login to my Toshiba Satellite A505-s69803 computer by using the bios password. It's a pain to type the password in everytime so I would like to remove this password requirement. If I go into bios setup and the security tab, the set password option is grayed out. It looks like I can't remove this requirement. Is this true? Once you set the bios password it can't be removed?

I don't use a windows password and it would be nice to not use the bios password.

Thanks for your help.

You should be able to remove the password. You would probably have a "remove password" option rather than setting the password to blank.

You're looking at the Wrong Section in the BIOS.
You need to check Security options, one of those options specifies, when to ask for a password.

OK. You must have a Program Installed on the laptop called Toshiba Assist.
Get into windows and open it from All Programs--Toshiba--Utilities.
Click the secure Tab on the Left Side.
Click on User Password icon.
Click Not Registered.
Then follow the Onscreen instructions to remove the Password.

After you have done this, you need to delete the Supervisor Password too, follow the same procedure mentioned above only difference being click on Supervisor Password in the Secure Tab on the left.
Then all the Ok's and the Supervisor password re-entered. Reboot and all the passwords would have gone.
