Hello,

I was planning on buing the Sapphire Radeon HD5670, but I've read a in a couple of threads that state PCI-E x16 2.1 (like the HD5670) Graphic Cards have backward compatability problems with PCI x16 Motherboards.
Is that true?

Thanks :)

it is true from my own experience. if your pc is a major brand like Dell, HP. I say you should not try it since you prob have no way to upgrade your BIOS.

Well its made by NEO or something, the Mobo is a MSI K9 Neo V2, but the latest BIOS update in their site is from 03.2009( I haven't tried updating it yet).
In that case will a GeForce 9800GT/9600GT work on it better?

9800GT, it will work but there are performance options that are 2.0 and not 2.1

There is no point in giving me prices from newegg, I live in Europe (Bulgaria) :)
(I could only dream of price like that)
I will check if there are 2.0 Cards in the local retailers, otherwise it's 9800/9600.
Thanks for the suggestion though.
