Add memory

This is probably a stupid question but anyway, is it possible to add more memory to a video card, if so how? If not, can I dedicated some of my RAM towards video memory.

No It Isn't. Some onboard chipsets can and have an option for that in the BIOS, so you can dedicate some RAM to the GPU, but if it's a dedicated card forget about it.

Most graphic cards come with a set amount of memory installed. Since Windows Vista was released (and in Windows 7), additional graphic card memory was allocated dynamically from the system's base memory.

In Windows XP, there may be a setting in BIOS to increase the amount of available shared (Turbocache or Hypermemory) memory, but in Vista and Windows 7, it's automatic.
