Which is the best place to plug in the HD on a P8 P67 PRO motherboard since it has several options and do I plug the DVD player in the second or the first position for boot up I think first.
STATA device connection is how?

Do I use the 3G connector to the 3G
Or do I use the 6G connector to the 6G out let on the board there are 4 which one do I start with.
Thank you Synde

Marvel Serial ATA 6.0 Gb/s connectors 7-pin SATA6G_ E1/E2 navy blue
do I use the 6G connector cord here
there are 2 connection here

or
Intel P67 Serial ATA 6.0 Gb/s connectors 7-pin SATA3G_1/2 gray
do I use the 6G connector cord here
there are 2 connection here

I have the DVD and the HD plugged in the above gray
do I use the 3G connector cord here
on boot up no light.

or the Intel P67 Serial ATA 3.0 Gb/s connectors 7-pin SATA3G_3-6 blue
there are 4 connection here

How are you suppose to make this decision about where to plug things in?
Logic Intel chip Intel connection right?

Thank you yes this was helpful -- There was a Marvell data port connection -- and THREE other SATA PORTS. I put the DVD on Intel SATA2 and the SATA1 for the HD I used the 6G cord. There are on the MB fore other 3G connections did not use. At first couple of times the boot proses did not read the HD but with ubuntu you just keep doing it and it works some how. lol.
The system works marvelous. Have it hooked up to a 51" TV LG with ubuntu os.
