2002 Dell D 8300 Can I use new 2011 componets?

Hi,

I want to swap out the bare minimum of my D 8300 to make it newer. Can I use a new MSI or Bio Star motherboard with the D8300 PS and Case? My hope is to have AMD phenom II something, USB 3.0 and HDMI connections. Im trying to save every dollar i can by using the case and PS if i can.
Any thoughts. Thanks

You won't be able to use the old PSU because it's unlikely to have newer connectors to power the motherboard, PCI-e and SATA devices

The case probably accepts a standard mATX / ATX board. I couldn't find exact specs though.
