Hi, i'm looking to build my first gaming PC. I'm eying Battlefield 3 & Crysis 2. I came up with the following and i'm looking to get some input.

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition Deneb 3.5GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core

Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5 AM3 AMD 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD

GPU: EVGA 012-P3-1570-AR GeForce GTX 570 Video Card - 1280MB GDDR5

PSU: Cooler Master RS650-ACAAE3-US GX Series 650W Power Supply - ATX, 650 Watts, 80+ Certified, 120mm Fan

RAM: CORSAIR XMS3 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 Desktop Memory Model CMX8GX3M2A1333C9

Case: NZXT M59-001BK M59 Gaming Mid Tower Case - ATX, mATX, Baby AT, Black

Hard drive: Western Digital WD5001AALS Caviar Black Hard Drive - 500GB, 7200 rpm, 32MB, SATA-3G-OEM

Optical Drive: LITE-ON Black 2MB Cache SATA 24X DVD Writer LightScribe Support

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bt

Will 650W be enough? Will all these components work fine together? Any suggestions would appreciated.

Also, i'm planning to order from newegg.ca & tigerdirect.ca and all together i'm looking at around the $1350CND mark.

I don't know what that ammounts to. But honestly, check out my build in my siggy. That 1200$ build should reach 1.3K CA because of pricing. But yeah, you should wait till April for Sandy Bridge and or Bulldozer. Don't trust that PSU to power that system, the GX series and Extreme series for Cooler master was a bit of a down side. They didn't last very long. Check out the Silent Pro series or some other companies like Antec (usually cheap on Newegg) or Corsair

so a i5 sandy bridge CPU is better than the Phenom II 970? What's the difference between 1156 vs 1155? After a little research, i've found that i should just wait for the 1155 mobos to be re-released. How long will that be?

Thanks for the replies.

Anywhere from mid March to early April or so the rumors have it. That's a build though worth waiting for imo. Nothing else comes close to touching it.

As why me said, March-April.

However, I disagree with the statement "nothing else comes close to touching it". If the leaked 3Dmark score for Bulldozer is accurate. It depicts Zambezi being something very close to Sandy Bridge. However that's just one bench. But that could be the case.

thanks for the replies.

I found this website, www.canadacomputers.com. and they happen to have a store about a 10min drive away from me, so in the interest of saving money for shipping, can anybody recommend a good case that's available from this website?

Why_Me,

so after a little bit of research, i've read that there are a few people that are having problems with the front panel of this case. Static discharge i believe. Is it still a problem or has it been fixed? What would be your second choice?

This build down below allows you to add another one of those gtx 560's later on for SLI if you so choose.
