System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, xfire & steam in game text chat, skype to voice chat in game, kaspersky internet security, fraps recording, surfing the internet, watch HD movies/videos, homework, audio/video editing

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, speakers, OS

Parts Preferences: I would like nvidia because it has purevideo HD, physx & cuda.

Overclocking: Maybe only CPU

Additional Comments: I want to play World of Warcraft Cataclysm, Guild Wars 2, Left 4 Dead 1 & 2, Call of Duty 4, World at War, Modern Warfare 2 & Black Ops, Need for Speed Shift & Hot Pursuit, Mafia 2, Grand Theft Auto 4 & Episodes from Liberty City, Blur, Fear 2 & Battlefield Bad Company 2 running very smoothly on ultra max settings with max AA/CSAA, AF, Refresh Rate, Foreground FPS, Background FPS, UI Scale, resolution 1920x1080 or 1920x1200, Advanced DOF, Advanced PhysX, CUDA, DirectX, Tessellation, everything except VSync & ultra max sound quality too without any problems/issues. Maybe in the next 3 years I'll upgrade my build to run all Enthusiast High-end games & most intense graphics games on ultra max settings and sound quality too. I want my built to last 5 years or longer.

I agree with Why-me^.

A sandy bridge based build is much better. We should soon see the fast dual core chips being released, and they would free up some $ to spend on the graphics card which is THE important component for gaming.

The Antec 300 illusion case has great cooling and a bit of "bling".

Spend your budget on a great graphics card, I think the GTX560Ti would be better.

I think you will still have a problem with your budget.
