I have been out of the PC world since 2004, maybe even earlier, so I'm pretty lost with the whole SATA III / USB 3.0. USB I could probably figure out easily, just looks like a faster USB really. SATA on the other hand I never really understood. Just letting you guys know, so if you see something off with SATA compability just let me know please.
Also is there such thing as PCI-e vs SATA? PCI-e was JUST getting to my knowledge but I left the PC behind and the concept never staid.
I took this build mostly from here. "Enthusiast"
I am pretty happy with this build but I have a few questions:
1. I have a Vizio 37-inch 1080p HDTV. Would this TV be good as my display for this setup?
2. I'll definitely get a SSD this year, but should I start off with one now or wait 'till later for the new SSD's that everyones talking about. If you do recommend starting off with a SSD, which one would it be? (80g or 120g)
3. Currently I'm thinking of getting the Asus Maximus IV, but is it really any different compared to the Asus P67 Pro or Deluxe?
4. I am thinking of getting a Blu-Ray drive, but should I get a combo drive or two separate drives (Blu-Ray + DVD/CD)?
5. I'm trying my best just to get find a P67 board ASAP and then just send it in when they release the corrected boards. Any help with this?
6. Lastly, I'm looking for at least 8GB RAM. What is the best in this category?
