I am having a heard time finding laptops by screen dimension. Most web
sites allow searching by screen size, but I want to find all the
laptops that are 16:9 instead of 4:3.

So far, I have found a couple of Dells, HP, Toshiba and of course the
iMacs. I would really like to be able to find a IBM ThinkPad or
Fujitsu.

Really appreciate any / all help. I had already posted this request to
comp.laptops but have got no response :o(

either search by widescreen, 15.4" (typical widescreen size), or
simply visit a good Japanese bookstore in your area (like Kinokunyua if
you're around one), and pickup the latest issue of Best PC or PC User
magazine -- you'll usually have a listing of each and every available
widescreen for that market (most models also available in other
countries) with all of the specs.

Thanx for the hint. Searching for "widescreen" really helped.

BTW, I finally bought a HP DV4000 with:

* 80 Gb (4200RPM) Hard Drive
* DVD/CD +/- R/RW
* 1Gb RAM

from Costco for $1,299.99.
