Black screen flashing cursor

I have same issue that you solved for someone else, black screen flashing cursor. I tried that fix and did not help even got new memory and still no fix. I have also tried to do a complete factory resore from harddrive and get error messaage "0xd0000002" and tried fixes for that and still no change. Is there any help for my laptop?

If it is giving that sort of error, it is almost definitely a software problem. If you have a Windows disc lying around (of the same version), I suggest you use it to do a repair. Most likely the problem would be solved if you reinstalled Windows, but that isn't an ideal situation.
