Comcast tech support showed me that my Dell XPS running Vista is receiving data packets but cannot bring up IE or Firefox. I can view shared public directories from another computer in my workgroup. Comcast could not tell me if the problem is caused by hardware, software, or virus issues. Any help on where to begin would be appreciated!
That would mean you have a virus on your system. Some times they can still stick around after a restore, download malwarebytes from www.malwarebytes.org and run it on your system (free version is fine, but if you can I would buy it, they spend time and offer a free version, so.. buy when you can afford to!)
