I think this should be based off of 990x instead of dual 5690s prices from newegg
    i7 990x ($1050)
evga classified 4-way SLI ($300 AR)
    12gb dominator gt 2000 ($350)
    4 x gtx 580s ($2000)
    1200ax ($280)
    dual c300 256gb ($1050)
    blu burner ($100)
    obsidian 800D ($270)
total: $5400 (didn't include all rebates could change a couple products to cut this down to make room for water-cooling)
this is the base this system should obviously be on water probably dual-loop one for CPU one for GPUs.
  5. i would get a lot of those Seasonic, and Corsair Velvet bags that come with the free Power supplies :D

isn't it crazy how those systems cost 10k then, but now most of wouldnt pay 300$ for that?
in 10 years all are stuff now is gonna be inferior.
its gonna be weird when 24GBs of RAM is standard instead of 4,
that a GPU like a 6990 would be considered low end,
that you 10TB SSD is running slow at 10Gb/s

  6. Buy like 10,000 velvet bags, if they cost .5 dollars each
  7. oh joel thats silly, i'd need to buy more velvet bags to fit inside of my velvet bags then :D
  8. i actually really want that corsair case after i saw it you have given me a new project
  9. They could be like 2 cents if you got them direct from the sweatshop.
