Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 2 are kind of different, if you could clarify.

Budget too! Can't do any suggestions without a budget.

If your running XP32 bit you could go up in ram a bit to 3gigs if your running the 64 bit xp got to 4 gigs. You could go up to an x4 proc essor also but I dont think you would see a ton of improvement.

1) You don't have a "gaming graphics card". Upgrade to a 5670 or better. I'd get a 5770 if I was on a budget.
2) 2GB RAM can occasionally run into problems, but that should be OK. If you currently have 1 stick, then buy a second. Otherwise, don't upgrade until your budget is finalized.
3) Windows 7 is better.

^ That was what I was going to say!

aznshinobi, I was looking at your $1000 build and I was surprised to see it included an SB i5-2500K. I agree with that, but it's a pain to find a motherboard nowadays.

OP, your CPU can handle a lot more than a 5770 in gaming, btw. You could probably use a 5870 if you wanted (and your PSU, case, etc. accommodated for it). But you may need to OC a little.

^ Yeah, I know it's stupid to recommend it now. But my site at the top EXPLICITLY tells users to wait for April when those mobos come in supply again. When a 2500K (230$) beats out an i7 950 (290$). You save money going with that route, especially since a decent X58 board is about..... 200$. While an SB one is only 150$ (Extreme4)

If you or someone who uses the computer is a student, get the Student Windows 7 for $30.

You want to make sure your CPU can handle whatever upgrade you do (Use 15% Capacitor aging): http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp

And you probably want a 5850 or 5770.

EDIT: My estimated wattage requirements assuming OC'ing, future HDD, and all other factors...
5770--410W
5850--460W
5870--515W
6970--600W
A 5850 would probably be fine with your current PSU if you don't add other hardware or overclock your graphics. A 5870/6950 would probably be fine if you did no overclocking and no additional parts.
