About to order this computer...

That's an absolute total rip off. I IMPLORE you, please PLEASE don't buy this computer.

That's not a high-end gaming machine.

If you want to buy from a vendor, check out CyberPower and IBuyPower. They are boutique vendors that give you really good component selection. You will spend around $300 with them (same as Dell), over building it yourself, but at least you can select the components.

I actually did go through Ibuypower after reading what you guys wrote. This is what I came up with for $50 more @ just under $1750

Great build! I built a similar computer 2 months ago with an i7-950 and ATI HD 6870. Your's costs about the same and is a bit faster.

I always knew Dell overcharged but after posting here and doing a bit more research, it was ridiculous how overpriced that computer was.
