I just was searching for an answer myself to this problem and came across yours from a year ago. I have the exact same monitor, Samsung 226BW "s" series. I couldn't find a thread that said you solved the problem and I was wondering if you did because I need help, please. My cables are fine and I've tried playing around with the resolution and refresh rate, all to no avail. Whatever you may have learned I would love to hear from you. thanks!
