AMD 6970 PSU question

Hello everybody I currently ran across extra funds to buy me an amd 6970. However, I only have a corsair vx550 psu and i'm not entirely sure if it will be sufficient for the card. I am currently running an i7 930 at stock with an ati 4980. If I get the green light from you guys i'll be picking it up imediately. Any input would be greatly appreciated Thank you

Corsair is an extremely reputable brand with high quality PSUs. Moreover, the HD4890 probably draws the same power as the HD6970 does.
