Hi everybody, I have been locking for the past 3 months or so on building my own PC! However, i am kinda a newb to building and have learned everything i know based on reaserch instead of expirementing.

I know for sure I am going to build with the i7 2600k....and the rest I have slightily planned, but i am open to full build suggestions. Please recomend mobos, power supplies, graphics, and everything else to build a PC with very good quality. My buget is not too big however I have room to spare (< $1200ish- excluding monitor and software). I want to start slow, then eventually upgrade to the higher end range. I want a PC that is mostly for hd video editing first, and PC gaming last.

ps: i know there is a recall, but if you have herd of or used any of the p67 chipset mobos and were satisfied, please recomend them..

Thanks,
Jim

The revised P67 B3 stepping motherboards are just starting to hit the market. That is supposed to fix the SATA problem.

Also check out the "Build your own" articles on the home page (you need to scroll down). Nowadays, you can build a pretty powerful system on a $1200 budget.
