Hello,

I got my new computer up and running but i'm not sure if i'm missing any necessary tweaks to make full use of its potential (without overclocking). I don't plan on overclocking my PC anytime soon but maybe as a future project.

So far, the only tweak i've done was adjusting my RAM in the BIOS. I changed it from the default 1333MHz to 1600Mhz, as well as the timing from the default 8-8-8-20 to 9-9-9-24. The voltage I set to automatically increase if needed.

Here are my
Specs:

ASUS Sabertooth x58
Intel Core i7 950
EVGA Geforce 560 GTX Ti
G.SKill DDR3 1600Mhz 2x3GB RAM
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB
LG GH22NS50B DVD Drive
Cooler Master HAF 932 Full Tower

Had you tried to keep 8-8-8-20 @ 1600Mhz? Cas Latency 8 would be faster than 9.

Stable is better than faster, but yes, testing @ Cas8 is something I'd try.
But for an overall performance tweak nothing beats an overclock.
You'll get a tiny performance advantage going Cas8 over 9. larger gains with overclocking.
Did you get an aftermarket CPU cooler or are you using the stock Intel cooler?
