I can buy any of this motherboards for a low price Asrock G41 M-vs3 R2.0 or asrock g41 vs3 but have a question i got a pair of ddr3 2gb g skills ddr3 1333 mhz that i replaced with ripjaws for my other pc and want to know if i can use them safely without any problems since those motherboards only support 1066 and my cpu is an e7500 so even if i wanted to boost to 1333 with oc i cant.
Thank You

Solution

If the voltage is correct, than mobo will clock the RAM to correct speed by itself.

In 99% cases it will work without a problem.

You sure?

The reason I ask is because, if you have not bought the motherboard, the Gigabyte G41 boards have some overclocking capability. The boards will usually run up to a 340 - 360 MHz FSB (depends on the board). I have a G41MT-S2 with an E6500 (same as E7500, but with smaller cache) running at 3.87 GHz.

It's a not bad overclocker using chips with a 200 or 266 MHz FSB freq, but it is not so good with a 333 MHz FSB.
