hi guys, so i want to boost my pc a little, i bought a better graphic card and i want to buy a faster processor. im interested in intel core i3 - 2100 or maybe AMD phoenum II X2 555. which one should i buy...this are my pc componets :
motherboard: ASRock ConRoe1333-D667
Graphic card: ATI radeon HD 4850
RAM: ddr3 2 GB
CPU: Procesor DualCore Intel Pentium E2160, 1800 MHz (9 x 200)

I'm sorry, but none of those processors you mentioned are compatible with the socket of your motherboard. If you want a faster processor compatible with your motherboard, try the Core 2 Quad (here's one from newegg.com: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115057)

Currently, your computer should be able to support a lot of games, not all on high settings, but it's good. An upgrade to a Core 2 Quad, possibly a GTX 560 Ti or an HD 6950 shouldn't hurt at all as well (assuming you are getting that C2Q as well to prevent major bottlenecks)

thank you so much...i almost bought the i-3 preocessor..so i need a core 2 quad...but that is a bit expensive for me...is there a cheaper way? .....and the item in the link has been deactivated.

i too have a conroe 1333 - d667 mobo. I have sparkle nvidia 9400 gt graphics card. I just wanted to know can i replace this gpu with another card which is ddr3 or ddr5. ddr3 ram chips will not work on my mobo thats sure but will the same logic apply to pcie slot graphics card with ddr3 or ddr5.
