I'm not too sure about how it will run games but you forgot to get a PSU unless you already have one that you didnt list.

Oops, sorry about that, I didnt see it. I am no computer expert by any means but I mean it will run games but I am not too sure how well. You probably are going to want more than 2 RAM for sure and if you can spend a bit more you probably should so your computer doesnt get outdated in a few weeks or months... Sorry for lack of specifics, I just know the general stuff about PCs :p

I see that now, I believe the guide iI got this build from has an error, they provided me that board and said it has ddr3 support, but it doesn't so I'll fix that, can it play games on high on a 1024 by 768 monitor?

Negative on free PSU with case but either way at that price point you can mimic Toms $500Dec 2010 SBM at $432AR

Your mobo

Foxconn A74ML-K AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 740G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Memory Standard
DDR2 1066/800/667

Then $50 for server 2GB DDR3 RAM

Incompatible + weird choices to be honest

Also u picked out a 740G chipset

I would rate any of these chipsets

740G
690G
GF 7XXX
NForce 5xx/6xx

far inferior than any entry level AM2+ out in 2008 due to

a. HT Limitation when paired with any AM2+/AM3 chip
b. Still stuck on PCIe gen 1.0/1.1, true AM2+ had migrated to PCIe gen 2.0 as of 2008

Gigabyte NForce 630a
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3497#ov
* If you install AMD AM3 CPU on this motherboard, the system bus speed will downgrade from HT3.0 (5200MT/s) to HT1.0 (2000 MT/s) spec; however, the frequency of AM3 CPU will not be impacted. Please refer "CPU Support List" for more information.

MSI 740GTM-P23

Hyper Transport Bus

• HyperTransport 1.0 supporting speed up to 1000MT/s

Slots

• 1 PCI Express x16 slot with x16 operation (PCI Express Bus SPEC V1.0 compliant)

Taken from Tom's september $400 pc
How about I do this
AMD Athlon II X3 440
$75
CPU Cooler
AMD boxed heatsink & fan
0
Motherboard
ASRock M3A770DE
$60
RAM
Crucial 2 GB (2 x 1 GB) DDR3-1333 (PC3 10600) Model CTKIT12864BA1339
$48
Graphics
PowerColor AX5670 512MD5-H Radeon HD 5670
$89
Hard Drive
Western Digital Caviar Blue WD2500AAJS 250 GB SATA 3Gb/s
$45
Case
Rosewill Blackbone
$35
Power
Cooler Master Elite 460 RS-460-PSAR-J3 460 W
$30
Optical
Samsung Black 22x DVD Burner SATA Model SH-S223C

but change the cpu to a rana 455 and there you go, also the gfx card to a radeon 4850 1gb could It say run crysis on high?

The HD 5670 may have DX11 but in reality is an even worse GPU than the HD 4850 which is in turn spanked by the 768M GTX 460 - up the chip to a Rana 440 and ditch the CM Extreme 460 : way inferior built to the 80+ Antec and i wouldn't recommend these even in my sub $300 builds so...

7200.12 500 Seagate/Samsung F3 500 are in the WD 500 Black country performance and prolly slightly better so go with either of these and $39.99 for the former is a steal

I'm sorry could you list all the pieces you reccomend in a list? I'm not on the same level of knowledge as you, so get he gtx 460 and also please tell me which motherboard, cpu RAM and tell if they're compatible or not, all for a decent price like under $450 please, I'm not ready to buy atm so about 2-3 months from now

One issue is that I Do not have a job as I'm rather minor agewise, so If I do indeed have the only option to get the 4850, will it still run games decent, and soon I can upgrade the gpu to an even better one since the monitor is only 1024 by 768 and I feel comfortable with that? So overall I'll save $60 and put the cost under $400 and upgrade later on in the year when money provides

Yes, the gpu is fully capable, especially for small screens, the 4850 1gb is honestly not that bad for the price

Ok, then why don't you get a 4830 for 60$ off Newegg. The suggestions Batchuka has are REALLY GOOD. I don't know why you wouldn't take them. If your budget totals do be 421$, Batchuka's is only 24$ more.

If you are FOCUSED on getting a 4830 then try out my build in my siggy. Just change the motherboard to this one.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157195&cm_re=770_motherboard-_-13-157-195-_-Product

And the psu is 40$ off Newegg, not 60$.

That'll give you better CPU perf than Batchuka's build, but worse graphically. Doesn't matter though at your small resolution. However the 460 would handle Crysis and future proof you better.

I guess I've been searching and liked the 4850 for a bout 3 months now, seen all the videos, and know it works for what I need it to, $150 is just TOO much for me, is the gts 450 any better, is that good enough, the most I'll spend on a gpu is $100 and the 450 and hd 4850 seem to be what fits me

Overall Trust us..Its not very good to buy single components over a long period of time...If your budget is limited just wait and save up. Batchuka posted and excellent build for the price and it would do want you want and then some...
