Hello everybody. I'm at the home stretch in finishing my first real build, and I've hit what I hope is just a small snag.
The only cable from my PSU that I haven't connected yet is an 8-pin connector that I thought was an 8 pin PCI-E connector, but it's not labeled PCI-E. I keep reading that aside from the SATA connectors/the 24 pin connector to the mobo/GPU connectors/the case wires, there should be a 4 or 8 pin connector connected to the mobo. The only place on my mobo that I can see where this would fit though would be the 4 pin slot where my CPU fan is connected to. The rest of the pins on my mobo are 3-pin connections or floppy/usb/ieee/etc. Not sure what to do.
I'm also not sure if there's anything else that needs to be connected to the sound card aside from the HD Audio cable.
