NZXT Phantom side panel clearance question

If I had a Scythe SCMG-2100 would there be enough room for a 20mm thick 200m fan on the side panel?

I doubt it.
Personally i find no benefit from side intake fans.
Have 3 towers with side panel fan mounts and don't use them.
Tried them and noticed no temp benefit only extra dust infiltration.
Your better off buying a good cooler like the Mugen 2 which will yield far more temp benefits then a side fan ever will.
The Phantom comes with 2x120mm lower side panel fans anyways.
Lose the 200mm fan option.

The Scythe Mugen 2 is 158mm tall.

According to this review the Phantom can take heatsinks up to 180mm in height:

The reviewer didn't mention the side panel fan, so I'm assuming that 180mm is without the side fan installed.

So it looks like there would only be 2mm of clearance between the Mugen 2 and the side panel fan if you installed both.
