Would the Sept 2010 System Builder Marathon or any of the budget PC's in the Recommended Builds work for a "decent" rendering system. I am only working with Blender (w/ Luxblend), Vue and Poser/DS, not Max or Maya.

My system wont work anymore (runs out of memory) for these, so I am looking to upgrade.

If not, what would you tweak, or is it a different build altogether?

You should probably get a better CPU. I would check out my 450$ build, except change that motherboard for this to save you 15$.

That money saved should be put towards more ram, something like an 8gb kit like this would work, the justification for the ram is simple, to my knowledge workstation programs require a lot of memory (depending on the project size) it's kind of like PS5. 75$ AR

Uhh I think the 4830 would do for light gaming, but I think the GPU should be a Workstation graphics card, not one for the standard user.

That card is very similar to the 5670, cept it is made for workstation use. I guess that's probably why you chose the 5670.
