I've got two problems.. lets see if you can help me.

I just updated my ubuntu to a 10.10 but when i try to watch videos or play games that require flashplayer online it is so slow that it's like i'm watching a picture slideshow that never ends.
Now my second problem is my computer doesn't make a sound when i play music. I currently unactivated the nvidia hardware on my ubuntu 10.10 and that sped up the videos but not by much. Could unactivating the nvidia hardware on my computer have stopped the sound from coming out or is this nvidia hardware the source of all my problems?

Need your video specs; using onboard or a separate card? For sound, check your motherboard website for drivers; cpuz will tell you your board info.
