I'd get an OEM E5800 for $54 from ewiz.com (assuming your are in the States). You should be able that up to 4Ghz.

BUT, neither the E5800, or the E6800, are on the compatibility list. You are probably best off trying to get a used E7500 or a E8400.

I don't know if you'll be able to do much with a q8200.

If you are doing this for a new build, i would leave the Qxxxx alone and go straight for a i5.
If you are just replacing the processor i would personally get a q6600 - overclocks much better and has more cache memory. - though i dont know if you can get these anymore.

If you get any of the processors mentioned above and whack a decent HSF on top you should be able to get to 4Ghz - or damn close

i wouldnt bother with any dual core if you thinking of gaming. more games need a real world minimum of a 2.4 quad core. so look at a q8300 as a minimum. and at £100 its a great little chip.

if you do go with a dual core stay away from the e8200 its the worst dual in the entire range. it wont oc past 2.5 and thats from a stock of 2.3. the e8400 is ok but again pretty pointless if you wanna play games like bfbc2.

i would actually go the q6600 or similar, you can get them off ebay for a decent price and get them to 3.4ghz without too much effort. the higher multiplier allows better overclocking. q8xxx series overclock like poop. I would not go for this at all as a new build, that would be stupid. Let us know if its a new build, we can recommend you something much better. If just upgrading the cpu, go to ebay.
