Hello.

I was thinking about this configuration for my budget build system, what do you think?

MOBO : MSI 870-C45
CPU : AMD Athlon II X4 640 @ 3.0 Ghz
VGA : Gainward GTS 450 512mb gddr5
RAM : TakeMS 2gb ddr3 1333 cl9
PSU : Sirtec 400W
CASE : NOX Core
HDD : WD5000AAKS

Now I have a couple of questions for you guys:

Which version of GTS450 would fit better on my 1680x1050 resolution ? The 512mb or 1024mb ?
As I read through here Athlon II X3 @ 3,2 Ghz is a decent CPU for gaming but the AMD Phenom II X2 555BE seems to be made for gaming because it's higher clock rate and L3 Cache despite that it's the Quad Core that it's not quite recommended for gaming but it had 4CORES ... so

WHAT IS THE BEST FOR GAMING BETWEEN THOSE 3 on 1680resolution with a GTS450 512-1gb memory and 2gb's of ram ?

Can you get a HD 5770 512 MB instead? You can get the Athlon II X3, it's a good CPU for gaming and whatnot. The video card matters much more.

1gb video memory would be better for higher resolutions. Higher clock speed means better gaming, but some games use more than 2 or 3 cores, so in those you would be dissadvantaged.

I'd go for Phenom II 840 and overclock it.

For about the same price, the 5770 1gb is a much better card than GTS450 and uses same amount of power.
