In my bios when I enable my XMP memory profile it says the Profile VTT Voltage is 1.2v.

My question is should I put my VTT voltage to 1.2v and is it fine to leave it at 1.2v since it is the default for the XMP profile?

I am pretty sure that the XMP profile does not change the VTT voltage, it just displays what the voltage should be when you are using XMP profile and i am wondering if that is an ok voltage to set my VTT voltage since it seems a bit high at 1.2v.

my XMP set the ram voltage to 1.65v while when disabled the voltage is 1.5v. I have a X58 platform and you are not mentioning what you are using, therefore none can really comment if your voltage is too high or anything....

Seems I cant edit my message... but i write again to say that i just saw you specs written in the "signature" area :D

have a look at corsair.com to see what is the normal voltage for your ram. It should also say it on the package, if you have that.

My sig should be working.....and I am not talking about the DRAM voltage of 1.5v I am talking about the VTT/QPI voltage

In my bios it says the XMP Profile DRAM voltage is 1.5 and the XMP profile VTT voltage is 1.2v, the VTT voltage is what I am wondering about.

From what I'm reading for a i5-2500K, 1.2V isn't ridiculous, but high. The VTT of 1.2V might have been for the Nehalem? Anyway, I'd still manually turn it down to maybe 1.10-15V.

What software in Windows say it is?

Using the gigabyte software it shows whatever I set it to in bios. If i leave it on auto it goes to 1.08v.

Was just wondering because I heard it could increase stability and wanted to know if 1.2v is good for 24/7.
