Hi there,

I'm looking into buying a new PSU for my system, and I'll like to leave room for
future SLI upgrade. (My MB has 2-way SLI)

I can't invest much right now, so Will this PSU do?

(SS-500ET Active PFC)

I want it to hold a A64 X2 system with 2 9800GTX / GT250 / GT460 or something in
those GPU series.

Appreciated your advice :)

For SLI, 500 Watts is cutting it too close. I would go with a 650 Watts or higher PSU to allow for a moderate drop in PSU efficiency over time.

Ya I know, Problem is that (GOOD) 650W PSU's are very expensive in my country.
What about: HEC Win+ 600 ?

Yes 600 Watts (SS-600ET)will work. And Seasonic is a good brand. Go for it!

The reviews I read on HEC are not very encouraging, and I will not recommend it. PSUs are very important in any computer. Go with Seasonic or Corsair.

Thanks! I just found it in some online store and it's not too expensive :)
BTW, Is it silent? I need it to be quite too.

Generally, all PSUs are silent. It's the case fans that tend to get loud. Just turn the computer OFF when you go to bed; you should be doing that in any case.

OK, they didn't have the 600W version, So I got the SS 520W (40W on 12V),
Hope it'll do!

And ya, it's really silent, I cant hear it :)
