Hello, I've been reading that mobo's with the b3 chip will be ready for resale either the first or second week of march, that being said I'm waiting to build a sandy bridge system. I could use some help with a motherboard... I don't need a 300 dollar professional grade motherboard. I'm looking for a decent mobo with sata 6, usb 3.0, maybe decent sound, SLI/Crossfire 8x 8x or better, and decent overclocking ability. I would like to bring that sandy bridge up to 4ghz stable for 24x7 usage and turbo boost how ever higher it wants to go. If anybody can point me in the right direction for a mobo that can offer all this in the 100 to 175 dollar range that would be GREAT!

Your help is appreciated and thank you!

the asrock extreme4 motherboard is 50 bucks cheaper than the ASUS p8p67 Pro and has much better preformance, that's the board i'm waiting for :)

BTW i have been doing sandy bridge mobo research for about 2 weeks extensively and that's what i have come with

THG Article: P67 Motherboard Roundup: Nine $150-200 Boards
Here is some background on a bunch of the 'major contenders'.
The rollout of the B3 versions of the boards isn't likely to be a smooth one. Not all boards will be available at the same time.
So you'll want to know about as much as you can about the different versions, prioritize the ones you'd like and decide how far down
your priority list you want to go when they start going on sale again.
The really popular boards will be hard to get and might have higher prices due to high demand and low supply, at least early on.

That AsRock is nice too, i thought about that board as well a while back but in tests the Asus board has the most overall potential. Of course with everything else you have to take it in moderation. Not everyone is going to use their computer the exact same as the person next to them.

I like them both though.

I like the Asus p67 Evo, Asrock p67 extreme 6 or Gigabyte p67 UD4...I'm most likely going with the Asus p67 Evo when it comes out i just like the way it looks and it matches my blue Gelid wing fans...You really can't go wrong with any of them they should easily handle 4ghz 24/7...
