I7 870 vs i7 860 ..best value for money processor for gaming????

Thinking of upgrading my i3 530 to i7 870 or i7 860 ....i wuld mstly use fr gaming ....soo whch is the best among the two and is truly value for money..???my graphic card is xfx 5850 (standard version)..whch wuld b the best processor suiting my graphic card ...among the two????

Alsoo wanted a personal opinion abt my graphic card xfx 5850 ...i hope my choice of buying that graphic card ws correct or no???

Whichever is cheaper. The i7 870 is just the 860 clocked up an extra 133 mhz

If you're getting it for games though, you might as well just go for the i5 760

get the 860 its better value and will oc just the same, the money you save can go towards a new cooler or something.
as for the gfx you could have gotten a little better for the same money although aria is doing them for 100 pounds, there average price is still 160-200 you could have gotten a 460 or a 560 for 140-160

The only real difference between the i5 760 and the i7 860 is the hyperthreading the i7 860 has, which is nearly useless for games anyways

The 5850 Radeon is a good choice. Excellent video card

I own a i3 550 ,i5 760,i7 860 and use to have an i3 530.
An i5 760 is all you need if gaming is your main objective.
Btw i also have a 5850.
