Upgrades for medium budget gaming

I am currently running a gt 430 graphics card, 4.5gigs of ddr2 ram, windows 7 64 bit, and a AMD Phenom quad-core 9500 2.2GHz processor. I play Starcraft 2, Steam games including Left 4 Dead and Killing Floor, other FPS games (BC2 CoD etc), Dragon Age etc., and Im going to be purchasing Battlefield 3 when it comes out. Im looking for tips on upgrades for a mid grade budget.
I was thinking about buying a XFX 5770 card and upgrading my power supply from 300 watts to 500 watts. Is my processor going to drag my graphics down and performance in general? Should that be upgraded as well? Suggestions?

Your CPU is not the best but should be able to keep up with the HD5770 for the most part. Based on which motherboard you have, the possibility to upgrade to an AM3 CPU would be a good option.

I play 1680x1050 resolution. No i do not live near a microcenter (had to look it up lol XD). Uhh Im thinking my budget is somewhere around $300 usd.
