I need help figuring out what new components i need to buy for new pc.

I am going to buy a new computer and i don`t know what parts i should get. Total price has to about 2500-3000 USD.
I had already figured out a computer, but then someone told me that i should not buy ASUS SABERTOOTH X58, Socket-1366 with a intel I7 960 because its to old.
So if someone who knows alot about this would write me a list or something that would be awesome! Thanks.

  1. Read this:

and repost with the form filled in. We will be better able to help you!
  2. The Sabertooth line is a great line w/ militarized components and 5 year warranty. It's offered on both the 1366 platform and 1155 platform. Now if your building a number crunching, rendering of video editing box, I'd stay with the 1366 platform. Throw in 12 GB of CAS 6 RAM and a Dell IPS Monitor and you're on ya way.

If gaming is your intent, wait 2-3 weeks for the new B3 stepping P67 Sabertooth to be released.
