Hey all, i'm planning on building my first gaming PC. I've already posted before and was given some suggestions that i have incorporated into my build.

One question i have is can i start purchasing items now even though i have to wait for the P67 motherboards? Reason being is that i've seen a couple of good deals, and i don't want to miss them, whether it be good prices, price matching another website before price goes up, limited time free shipping, limited quanties, etc. I just don't want to pass up these deals. How common are DOAs? Cause of course i wouldn't be able to know until the P67s come out.

Anyways, i came up with the following. Let me know that you think. Oh, and i don't plan on overclocking or getting another GPU,...at least not now.

Intel Core i5 2500K Quad Core Unlocked Processor LGA1155 3.3GHZ Sandy Bridge 6MB

Will the included heatsink+fan be fine if i'm not planning on overclocking?

EVGA GeForce GTX 570 Fermi 732MHZ 1280MB GDDR5 2XDVI Mini-HDMI PCI-E Video Card

G.SKILL Ripjaws X F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 Memory

I bought this already cause it went down to $94.99 last week.

I've been looking at this hard drive which i would PM for $82.99
http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=50895
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA3 6GB/S 7200RPM 64MB Cache 3.5IN Dual Proc Hard Drive OEM

but have been suggested this one:
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185
SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

My question about the hard drive is, isn't sataIII faster than sataII? Is it worth the extra $8. They both are getting good reviews.

And do i need a sound card?

If you don't plan on over clocking and your questioning weather you will add a second vid card later on down the road, then save yourself the money and get a H57 board, get a 2500 and not a 2500K and down size that psu. And yes the stock h/s will do just fine if you don't plan on o/c that cpu. And unless your an audiophile, the onboard sound will do just fine.

well i don't plan on overclocking it any time soon. But if i feel a game will benefit from it sometime in the future, then i want to have that option available. And maybe add a second GPU and possibly upgrade the PSU if needed.

And how about my hard drive question? Is the WD a better choice? And my question about ordering the components, purchase some items (just some) now or wait until the release of the P67 before i purchasing everything?

I'd personally wait to order all at once. That way if you get a bad part you find out within return/exchange time of the site you order from.

The interface speed doesn't make any difference to the speed of the drive, or how well it performs in your system. The Samsung is actually faster than the WD, as well as being quieter and cooler, usually it is much cheaper, but $8 is small enough to be insignificant. There is only one good reason to get the WD Caviar Black, and that is if you want/need the free programs that WD make available to WD hdd owners and if you don't plan on getting a WD drive as an external or extra storage.
