Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 USB3 question

I have two USB3 drives, one for data storage and the other for backup. With both drives attached to the USB 3 ports and attempting to copy the storage drive data to the backup drive it begins to copy then tells me that the (copy to) drive does not exist. I can see both drives in Win Explorer.

If I attach the storage drive to a USB2 port I can then copy to the backup drive attached to a USB3 port.

Does anyone else have the same issue?
I am using Win 7 Pro 64. When I installed Win 7 Home 32 I get the same problem.

I did as you recommended and did find a difference. In one position the drive is copied without problem, in the other position the copy stops after a few files.

At least I can copy with both drives connected to a USB3 port as long as I identify the port to be connected to the "to" drive. Seems like a pain and should not be an issue but at least it is workable.

Thank you for your help.

I installed the latest USB3 drivers from the Gigabyte web site. Gigabyte suggests trying the latest BIOS and a fresh OS install. Being as I backup on weekends only I will attempt it later this month.

The only progress so far was the help from this site.
Thank you for your help!
